In consideration of the workload, human resources, and hardware/software capacity of our Research Ethics Center for Behavioral and Social Sciences and its Institutional Review Board (IRB), and in order to ensure the quality and efficiency of the review process, the following measures take effect immediately:

1. We kindly ask that submissions be made by mail whenever possible. For in-person submissions, please ensure documents are sealed and left at the security desk on the 1st floor of the Excellence Research Building.

2. We are temporarily suspending consultations for new submissions. Applicants are requested to review the submission guidelines on our website:

3. Our services are currently limited to our university and existing partner institutions within the Northern Region Human Research Participant Protection Alliance. We are no longer accepting individually commissioned reviews, nor are we entering into new institutional review agreements.

All submissions will be processed in the order they are received. We will make every effort to follow our standard operating procedures (SOP). We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation with the queue-based review process. If you are unable to accept the queue-based review process, we kindly encourage you to consider submitting to other IRBs.
