The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and the Research Council of Lithuania (LMT) jointly invite applications for the aforementioned programme.
Following joint deliberation of the project content by the principal investigators from both parties, applications shall be submitted separately to the NSTC and the Lithuanian LMT within the stipulated deadline.
Areas of cooperation include:
(i) Laser Technology:
Sub-area 1: Green energy technologies and applications, focusing on power generation, storage and distribution.
Sub-area 2: Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies and applications.
(ii) Biomedical Sciences:
Sub-area 1: Cancer research, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, prevention and healthcare.
Sub-area 2: Gene editing tools
Sub-area 3: Computational medicine
The project duration is two years. This initiative will provide preferential funding to selected proposals, with an annual subsidy not exceeding NT$3.4 million per project as a general principle.
Interested applicants shall read through the NSTC regulations on NSTC’s website (https://www.nstc.gov.tw/), and follow the steps below:
(a) Complete the online application on NSTC's website.
(b) Download the “NTU Application Form for NSTC Grant for the International Cooperative Project.”
(c) Once the principal investigator, the head and dean of the executive department/institute have affixed their signatures or seals, please email the completed form to the Division of Research Project Affairs (RPA).
The deadline for submission is by 17:00, on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Please synchronize your online application with the NSTC system before the deadline to allow the university to compile and send submissions to NSTC as scheduled.
