To foster international collaboration experience among domestic researchers, build international academic networks and enhance international mobility, the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) in Warsaw to launch the Project-Based Personnel Exchange Programme (the PPP Programme). This initiative aims to facilitate the development of collaborative research projects between researchers from both sides and to deepen scientific and technological cooperation.
The selected projects are scheduled to run for a period of two years, commencing on 1 January 2027, and will be funded by the Taiwanese side through a bilateral personnel exchange programme. As a general rule, the maximum annual subsidy per case is NT$240,000.
Prospective applicants shall adhere to the following steps:
(1) Complete the online application on NSTC's website.
(2) Download the “NTU Application Form for NSTC Grant for the International Cooperative Project.”
(3) After acquiring the signatures or seals of the head and dean of the executive department/institute, please email the finalized form to the Division of Research Project Affairs (RPA).
The submission deadline is by 17:00 on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
Please simultaneously submit your online application through the NSTC system prior to the aforementioned internal application deadline, to enable the university to compile the list and forward it to the NSTC in due time.
Furthermore, the application procedures and deadlines for the Polish side differ from those of the Taiwanese side. Applications from Taiwanese institutions must first be collated and submitted via the system by the principal investigator’s employing institution (i.e. this University). The University will then compile a list of applicants and formally submit it to the NSTC.
To ensure that the internal administrative procedures are completed smoothly and submitted to the NSTC on schedule, applicants must strictly observe the aforementioned internal deadlines and submit both the online application and the hard copy of the “NTU Application Form for NSTC Grant for the International Cooperative Project.” within the specified timeframe. Late submissions will not be accepted.
