Pursuant to the Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement between the NSTC and the CSIC, a joint call for proposals is now open for the 2027–2028 Bilateral Personnel Exchange Program.
Grant Types:
Personnel Exchange Program: Funding is provided for short-term visits or training under collaborative projects, limited to projects with a duration of up to two years. This covers the expenses incurred by researchers (including postdoctoral fellows and doctoral students) participating in the project who travel to the partner country for short-term visits or training.
Funding:
The sending country is responsible for covering the expenses associated with its personnel’s short-term visits or training programs. The subsidy for each project is capped at NT$420,000 per year (i.e., not exceeding NT$840,000 for 2 years).
This project must be carried out by a research team consisting of one principal investigator from Taiwan and one from Spain. To be approved, both parties must simultaneously submit project proposals to the NSTC and the CSIC on a shared research topic. The titles of the proposals submitted by both parties must be identical, and the content must be mutually agreed upon.
Prospective applicants shall adhere to the following steps:
(1) Complete the online application on NSTC's website.
(2) Download the “NTU Application Form for NSTC Grant for the International Cooperative Project.”
(3) Once the principal investigator, the head of the department/unit and the dean of the faculty have signed or stamped the form, please email the completed form to the Division of Research Project Affairs (RPA).
The deadline for submission is by 17:00, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Please ensure you submit your online application via the NSTC system by the aforementioned internal deadline, so that the university can compile the list and submit it to the NSTC on schedule.
