The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) is collaborating with RIKEN to implement the aforementioned bilateral agreement on international collaborative research projects, with the aim of jointly promoting academic exchange and development.
Principal investigators currently executing research projects approved and funded by the NSTC may apply for an “Add-on” international collaborative research project under their existing project. Such projects must be carried out between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2029, and their implementation schedule must align with that of the corresponding Japanese research project.
Areas of Cooperation:
I. Next Generation Compound Semiconductors;
II. AI or Computer Science including Collaboration with Social Science;
III. Precision Medicine and Healthcare(Regenerative Medicine and Smart Medicine included)。
Prospective applicants shall adhere to the following steps:
(1) Complete the online application on NSTC's website.
(2) Download the “NTU Application Form for NSTC Grant for the International Cooperative Project.”
(3) Once the principal investigator, the head of the department/unit and the dean of the faculty have signed or stamped the form, please email the completed form to the Division of Research Project Affairs (RPA).
The deadline for submission is by 17:00, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Please ensure you submit your online application via the NSTC system by the aforementioned internal deadline, so that the university can compile the list and submit it to the NSTC on schedule.
