The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and the French National Research Agency (Agence Nationale de la Recherche, ANR) are jointly inviting proposals for international collaborative research projects under the 2028 bilateral agreement. 

The aforementioned project will be implemented in two phases:

Phase 1: The application period runs from 8 September to 13 October 2026, 17.00 pm (Paris time).
Applications will be accepted exclusively by the French agency ANR. The French principal investigator must register via the ANR online system; the registration details must include the CVs of both the Taiwanese and French principal investigators. The Taiwanese principal investigator is responsible for coordinating this matter with their French counterpart and must follow the procedures set out in the ANR call for proposals.

Phase 2: Applications are expected to open in March 2027.

Applications will be processed separately by the NSTC and the ANR. Upon receipt of the list of Taiwanese principal investigators who have passed Phase One, provided by the ANR, the NSTC will issue a separate letter notifying the Taiwanese principal investigators to submit their full proposals to the NSTC.
