A. This announcement is made in accordance with the official document (code: 科部科字第1090043142號) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) dated Jul. 10, 2020.
B. Introduction
(1) The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) signed a cooperation agreement with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in 2001. The International Emerging Action (IEA) is a two-year collaborative program between a principal investigator at a CNRS research institution and a principal investigator at a foreign research institution, with the ultimate goals of exploring emerging research areas and developing new international partnerships.
(2) Areas of cooperation: No specific restrictions apply
(3) 1. The Principal Investigator from Taiwan must meet the same eligibility requirements of MOST's subsidies for Special Topic Research Project. The Principal Investigator from France must be a researcher working in a CNRS laboratory.
(4) If it is necessary to allocate budget for administrative expenses, refer to the relevant MOST procedure.
C. Application instructions and deadline applicable to NTU
(1) Login to the MOST Research Personnel Portal, complete the form and upload all required documents in both English and Chinese by Tue., Sep. 22, 2020. As required by MOST regulations, make sure that the uploaded documents are consolidated into a single file and then notify by telephone the contact person at the Office of Research and Development (ORD), which is responsible for tabulating and forwarding all received applications to MOST. Please note that no late applications will be accepted.
(2) Download the MOST International Cooperation Project Application Form for NTU from the ORD Division of Strategic Planning website. Submit the completed form to the ORD Division of Strategic Planning by the NTU deadline.
