Please be informed that NTU full-time project personnel to whom the Labor Standards Act is applicable shall be granted one day off on May 1, 2020 (Fri.), the Labor Day holiday.Please also inform the project personnel of the information.

1. The day off is granted in accordance with the Labor Standards Act and the resolution of the 7th labor-management meeting of the fifth term of representatives convened on Dec. 26, 2016.

2. For full-time project personnel to whom the Labor Standards Act is applicable, please be informed of the following regulations on the aforementioned holiday.

(1) If the holiday falls on workdays, a day off shall be granted. If the holiday falls on non-workdays, a deferred day off shall be granted on the following workday.

(2) Project personnel shall be appointed by principal investigators, fill out and submit the application form for overtime work on the Attendance Management System, and obtain approval in advance if project personnel need to work on the aforementioned holiday for projects' sake. Project personnel may choose between overtime pay (the wage for a day) and one compensatory day off within the given deadline for overtime work. Principal investigators shall approve and offer project personnel overtime pay if compensatory leave is not taken within the given deadline. Overtime pay shall be reimbursed in accordance with the sponsors' regulations. If overtime pay cannot be reimbursed with project funding, surplus fund or administration fee of principal investigators may be used for reimbursement.
