In recent years, Taiwan Studies has gained academic prominence with strong innovation and international potential. National Taiwan University's College of Liberal Arts covers literature, history, linguistics, anthropology, music, drama, and arts. To integrate resources and promote interdisciplinary and international collaboration, the Center for Taiwan Studies was established in July 2011.
To enhance dialogue in the humanities and social sciences, integrate faculty, and cultivate young scholars in Japanese Studies, the College of Liberal Arts at National Taiwan University launched the "Japanese Studies Program" in September 2013 and established the "Center for Japanese Studies" on November 1, 2013.
Center for Buddhist Studies
The purpose of the NTU Center for Buddhist Studies is to bring together experts and scholars engaged in Buddhist studies both within and outside the university. By employing modern academic research methods, the center conducts in-depth studies on the characteristics, historical development, potential values, and contemporary significance of Buddhism. It aims to promote integrated collaborative research in Taiwan, publish academic journals on Buddhist studies, establish an online Buddhist studies database, and facilitate international academic exchange.
