France-Taiwan Quantum Center for the Alain Aspect Program

Alain Aspect Program
On October 13, 2025, National Taiwan University (NTU) held a signing ceremony on campus with Université Paris-Saclay and Université Grenoble Alpes.

The newly established France-Taiwan Quantum Center for the Alain Aspect Program (inaugurated in October 2025 by NTU, Université Paris-Saclay, and Université Grenoble Alpes) integrates fundamental quantum physics with advanced semiconductor engineering.

To ensure the success of this cross-border and cross-disciplinary initiative, NTU provides specific administrative support dedicated to our interdisciplinary science research teams. The Center is staffed by dedicated project managers who handle the complex administrative overhead associated with international and cross-departmental research, allowing our scientists and engineers to focus entirely on their scientific breakthroughs.

Our dedicated administrative team actively provides comprehensive support for interdisciplinary initiatives, which includes:

  • Support in Grant Applications & Seed Funds: Assisting interdisciplinary research teams in applying for joint collaborative project proposals and managing the Center's dedicated seed funds, supported by a joint budget of over €1 million for the next three years.
  • Access to Appropriate Facilities & Event Coordination: Ensuring seamless access to specialized cross-departmental laboratories for all interdisciplinary team members, and organizing joint workshops and international conferences.
  • Facilitating International Mobility: Managing the administrative processes for PhD scholarships, academic exchanges, and internships between NTU and our French partner institutions.
  • Innovation and Start-up Collaboration: Acting as an administrative liaison to support applied research projects and start-ups that bridge fundamental science and the tech industry.
