The program is to incentivize NTU faculty members to commit to their long-term research of originality in important fields and thus achieve full research potential, with the hope to help NTU lead research in cutting-edge and important fields.
Individuals who have received NSTC grants for outstanding young scholar research projects
Subsidy Period: Individuals who have received grants from the NSTC outstanding young scholar research projects should submit applications within 3 months of the approval.
Grant Amount: 30% * (Total amount approved by NSTC - Equipment costs - additional subsidy exclusively for hiring PhD student assistants).
For the project host, please log in to the "NTU Projects Application System" (Do not need to re-register if you use the school’s accounting and password), and click on the "Laurel Research Project" to start the application.

In accordance with the official letter No. 1100042067 dated June 24, 2021, in order to speed up the process, when relocation of project funding issued by ORD (accounting codes: L7, L8, L9, V) is in need, please submit the funding relocation application by electronic official documents. The examples of the electronic official document and the funding relocation application (no seal required at the bottom of the application form) are attached down below for reference.
