This bilateral cooperation programme is currently open for submissions, and will be implemented with a value-added approach.
The qualifications for the principal investigators on the Taiwan side must be those who are currently executing a research project funded by the NSTC. After the application is selected and recommended, the NSTC will approve the international cooperation expansion and value-added funding based on that project.
The areas of co-operation include the following:
I. Green Energy
II. Artificial Intelligence Applications
III. Health care and Biomedicine
IV. Cyber Security
V. New Agriculture, including Smart Agriculture
VI. Aeronautical and Aerospace Technology
VII. Disaster Prevention
This program is a type of international collaborative linkage corporation that aims to develop innovative technologies and extend them to the application and commercialization levels, such as the development of short-term marketable products or solutions, or technologically based and marketable methods and services.
(a) Domestic project teams must be linked:
(1) a domestic research-based legal entity (e.g., the National Laboratory Research Institute or Industrial Technology Research Institute); and
(2) domestic industry-related organizations to participate in the project, with researchers listed as co-principal investigators. Priority will be given to domestic enterprises that have offered to participate in the project with matching funds.
(b) Czech project team applicants are mainly from the industry (companies) and can apply jointly with the united universities and other research institutions.
Interested applicants shall read through the NSTC regulations on NSTC’s website (https://www.nstc.gov.tw/), and follow the steps below:
(1) Complete the online application on NSTC's website.
(2) Download the “NTU Application Form for NSTC Grant for the International Cooperative Project.”
(3) Once the principal investigator, the head and dean of the executive department/institute have affixed their signatures or seals, please email the completed form to the Division of Research Project Affairs (RPA).
The deadline for submission is by 17:00, on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Please synchronize your online application with the NSTC system before the deadline to allow the university to compile and send submissions to NSTC as scheduled.
